Chair of Real Estate Economics
Welcome to the Chair of Real Estate Economics
The subject of Real Estate Economics introduces the key topics necessary to understand cities and real estate markets—both commercial and residential. It covers the influence of economic principles on real estate demand, the functioning of real estate markets, and the relationship between land use, land value, and location. Students who take this course will gain an understanding of how real estate markets work and how they interact with other markets. The course also addresses the rationale for government intervention, the forms such interventions can take, and the evaluation of related policy measures.
