The Ethics Committee advises on medical and non-medical research projects involving human subjects. Our work is based on the statutory provisions, the relevant ordinances and guidelines, the professional regulations and the World Medical Association's Declaration of Helsinki. The Commission is registered in accordance with Section 36 (1) of the Radiation Protection Act (external link, opens in a new window) (StrlSchG).

A distinction is made between applications under the AMG/CTR, the MDR/MPDG/IVDR and other applications.

AMG/CTR studies must be submitted via the CTIS (external link, opens in a new window) portal , MDR/MPDG/IVDR studies via the DMIDS (external link, opens in a new window) portal. The fee schedule for MDR/MPDG/IVDR studies can be found here (opens in a new window).

Other applications that do not fall into one of the two categories above, in particular those following professional counselling in accordance with Section 15 of the Professional Code for Physicians in Bavaria (external link, opens in a new window) and applications from other scientific disciplines, should be submitted to the Regensburg Ethics Committee via our online portal Ethikpool (external link, opens in a new window).
