Course Description

With the growing internationalization of universities, more and more lecturers are teaching students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds ¡ª often in English. However, teaching in English means more than just translating existing course content. It requires thoughtful reflection on your teaching approach and its suitability for an international audience with varying needs.

This course helps you use English confidently and purposefully in your teaching. Perfect language skills are not necessary ¡ª the focus is on effective communication, not perfection. You'll learn how to use English as a tool to connect with your students, not as a barrier.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• discuss cultural and language issues,
• present in English,
• provide feedback.

Organisation

The course is delivered in a blended-learning format. 
Over four weeks, you will participate in one online lesson per week. In weeks 2 and 4, we will meet on Zoom to discuss your progress.
