Melanie Franke studied Business Administration (B.Sc.) with a focus on Value Chain Management at the University of Regensburg. She then completed the Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Murray State University, US and the Master of Business Administration (M.Sc.) at the University of Regensburg.
During that time, she worked as a research assistant at the Marketing & Career Service of the University of Regensburg.
Ms. Franke joined the Chair of Leadership and Organization (Prof. Dr. Thomas Steger) at the University of Regensburg in October 2022. She is part of the DFG project "Legitimacy-building and the performance of post-transition country firms in an advanced economy - a study of Polish subsidiaries in Germany", an international research project in cooperation with the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and the Poznań University of Economics and Business (https://gepris.dfg.de/gepris/projekt/465177433?language=de (external link, opens in a new window) ) (external link, opens in a new window)
In April 2024, she additionally took on the role of Women’s Representative Gender Equality at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Management Information Systems.
As of April 2025, she also serves as the contact person for the Double Degree program with Murray State University.
