Prof. Dr. Maria Leitner

Prof. Dr. Maria Leitner is professor at University of Regensburg. Her research focuses on process automation, secure process-oriented information systems and cyber security. Before, she was professor of Computer Science at Faculty of Computer Science, University of Vienna (externer Link, ?ffnet neues Fenster) and scientist at AIT Austrian Institute of Technology (externer Link, ?ffnet neues Fenster), Center for Digital Safety & Security in Vienna, Austria. She was a visiting researcher at the Center for Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics (externer Link, ?ffnet neues Fenster) at Arizona State University (externer Link, ?ffnet neues Fenster) in May 2017.
 

Between 2010 and 2013, Dr. Leitner has worked at University of Vienna, Faculty of Computer Science, research group Workflow Systems and Technology (externer Link, ?ffnet neues Fenster) as teaching and research assistant and completed her PhD with distinction in 2015. Her PhD thesis focused on security policy integration and life cycle management in process-aware information systems. In 2014, Dr. Leitner worked as a researcher at SBA research (externer Link, ?ffnet neues Fenster), a IT security research cluster in Vienna where she focused on the detection of anomalies in access control systems.
