Currently, thesis projects or research internships are available in the following areas:
How do infants learn that objects continue to exist when they are out of sight? In an EEG study with infants aged 4 to 11 months, we offer the opportunity to support data collection and (if desired) gain insights into EEG data analysis. If you are interested and would like further information on this topic, please contact Marlena Baldauf directly at marlena.baldauf@ur.de.
How does parental behavior and early cognitive development differ across cultures? We are analyzing data from parent-child interactions from Nigeria, Brazil, and Germany with a focus on language and socialization strategies.
When is a movement perceived as an action and when is an action seen as intentional? In a pilot study with adults, we aim to create stimuli that distinguish between movement, action, and intention, which will be tested in a data collection phase with adults.
EEG and fMRI studies on neural oscillations and memory: We will be starting EEG and fMRI data collections with adults in the coming months, focusing on the topic of neural oscillations and memory. Thesis projects in this area are available.
