Project description
The advancing digitalization requires small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to continuously adapt and develop their technological capabilities. The KMUpedia project starts at this point and offers a comprehensive knowledge transfer from the university to business practice. Through virtual and physical further education offers, guided workshops, and networking events, SME employees are enabled to learn and apply effective programming concepts and tools for data-intensive applications. A special focus is on imparting practical programming skills and their systematic evaluation to ensure sustainable competence development. Together with the Chair of Databases and Information Systems (Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Jablonski) and the subject area of Digital Teaching and Learning and Didactics of Computer Science (Dr. Matthias Ehmann), both from the University of Bayreuth, KMUpedia supports companies in strengthening their technological competencies, developing innovative solutions, and thus securing their competitiveness in the digital economy.
